Kamasi Washington just dropped a crazy score for the new Adult Swim anime series Lazarus, and it’s beautiful. The series premiered April 5th, and even if you haven’t seen all of it yet, the music alone is worth the experience.

The trailer gave me instant Cowboy Bebop energy, with futuristic chaos, heavy philosophy, and that signature blend of jazz and soul that makes everything feel bigger than life.

But this isn’t just another anime soundtrack. Kamasi crafted a full cinematic jazz experience, with bold horns, eerie builds, soulful transitions. It feels like he scored the future.
