This week’s episode was a movement of spiritual, emotional, and sonic sounds. The type of show that doesn’t sit still or play safe. From the jump, I set out to take you on a journey across genres, cultures, and headspaces.
We opened cinematic with Miles Caton’s “Travelin’” and quickly drifted into Femi Kuti’s “Journey Through Life”, because that’s exactly what this episode was, a journey. One with pit stops in classic soul (Ledisi, Eric Benét & Keri Hilson), laid back instrumental hip hop (Wun Two, Lift Off), uptempo global dance cuts (Ron Trent, Tiwa Savage), and raw bars from Cookin Soul, Fly Anakin, Wu-Tang, and RJ Payne.
The energy stayed unpredictable but intentional with new school bounce mets golden era grit. We had Oddisee dropping jewels, Dee-1 & B.G. bringing street wisdom, and Jade Novah reminding us that ’90s R&B will forever be a vibe. Eva Alordiah and DESTIN CONRAD kept the genre bending fresh, while SAILORR and New Girl tapped into more delicate emotions with that left field soul.

There were moments to reflect (“Still” by Chantay Savage & Terry Hunter), moments to zone out (Axian’s “Wisteria”), and moments to straight-up move (“Juice” by Ron Trent, “Steamer” by LOS KEMET).
The show was crafted like a mixtape with no skips, each track building off the last, whether it was redveil’s introspection or The Underachievers throwing lyrical haymakers. We even touched new-school jazz with xander. & Rikard From, and glided across sound waves with Sem0r, Lucid Monday, Young Miko, and O.C.
I do this for those who want more out of music, with more depth, more texture, more global awareness.
