This week on Africa Incorporated, we leaned into a full bodied sound of R&B and Soul. Episode 24 was called Love Music and it brought together a powerful collection of slow jams, classic grooves, and heartfelt vocals. It presented a journey through emotional self awareness, confidence, spiritual connection, and cultural pride. #GOODMUSIC

We started strong with Eric Roberson’s Pretty Girl then slid into the sensual with R Kelly, Avant, and Tony Toni Toné. The spotlight stayed on the feminine with India Arie’s uplifting Strength Courage and Wisdom and a sultry visit from Destiny’s Child. Keith Sweat, Johnny Gill, and Glenn Jones brought the velvet texture, while 112 and Guy reminded us how timeless the 90s R&B era really is.

There were a few surprises. A nod to hip hop with Heavy D’s Mr Big Stuff remix and the Pharrell-assisted remix of Whoaby Snoh Aalegra. This mix hit all the right notes. It was made for real listeners who know that good music doesn’t shout, it resonates.
