This week’s Africa Incorporated #33 was a full circle experience, with a sonic journey that flowed from soulful roots to Afro Beats, R&B smoothness, and hard edged Hip Hop storytelling. Every transition carried energy, balance, and that unmistakable ChuckDiesal touch.

We started the ride with Double Cross by First Choice, a classic groove lifted straight from Larry Levan’s Paradise Garage era. The floor was alive. From there, Fireboy DML and Pheelz brought Afro soul into the mix with On a Kentro, and Mightyyout’s Paracetamol carried that African dancehall fire. Sarz turned the temperature up with Mademoiselle, featuring ODUMODUBLVCK and Shallipopi, modern Afro-beat excellence at its finest.

Then we slowed things down with emotion and melody, with Alicia Keys with Go Ahead, Amerie with her Richcraft Remix, and Babyface with Keeps On Fallin’ featuring Ella Mai. These tracks shaped the soul segment, reminding listeners why R&B still holds the heart of groove culture.

But the transition was coming and when Kota the Friend’s YUMA hit, the atmosphere flipped. Suddenly, Hip Hop was in full motion. Apollo Brown & Planet Asia dropped Peas & Onions, and the old-school pulse came alive again. Erick Sermon’s On the Regular built on that 90s essence, while Tyler, The Creator’s Foreword brought introspection and style. From MellowHigh to Elcamino & the Black Soprano Family, and the Griselda trifecta of Armani Caesar, Westside Gunn, and Benny The Butcher, the bars were bold, confident, and pure energy.

We closed it out with Mona Lisa’s Just Wanna Please You Remix featuring The LOX, the moment that perfectly tied together everything that came before. From soulful beginnings to global grooves and back to Hip Hop roots! This was Africa Incorporated #33. A rhythm-built conversation between eras, continents, and vibes.
