House music kept Catholic schools in Chicago alive back in the day, and that’s real talk. In late 80s, & early 90s, the gyms or cafeterias were those spots. Every weekend, somebody had it jumping with deep cuts and dance energy. That’s why I say I’ve been clubbing since 13. This culture raised me.
