#NewMusicTuesday – March 4th

This week’s selection flows effortlessly, blending R&B, hip-hop, and alternative sounds into a set that feels both fresh and timeless. With a mix of soulful vocals, sharp lyricism, and dynamic production, it’s a playlist that keeps you engaged from start to finish.

Nao, Lisa, Femdot, and Smif-N-Wessun stood out as highlights, each bringing their own energy to the show. Nao’s “Happy People” and “We All Win” provided smooth, feel-good vibes, while Lisa’s “Thunder” brought a commanding presence with its pop-meets-R&B appeal. Femdot’s “Back in the Lead” and “Gloves” showed his versatility, delivering sharp flows over intricate beats. Meanwhile, Smif-N-Wessun’s “Beautiful Trip” and “Just Stay!” (feat. Conway the Machine) kept things grounded in raw, classic hip-hop energy.

Elsewhere, the set balanced laid-back grooves with high-energy moments—Savannah Ré’s “Glory” and THEHONESTGUY’s “ONE MORE TIME (TRY)” added soulful depth, while Little Simz’s “Flood” and Deante’ Hitchcock’s “Red Clay” brought heat on the rap side.

Unexpected surprises came from Lizzo with “Love in Real Life” and The Pharcyde’s “Slhick Tawlk”, both dropping new music that caught me off guard in the best way. Lizzo’s track carried her signature charisma, while Pharcyde’s mellow mix felt like a nostalgic yet fresh return.

With a mix of fresh finds and veteran voices, this week’s playlist delivered everything from introspective moments to undeniable bangers. The perfect soundtrack for easing in and turning up when the moment calls for it.
