The energy and power of New Music Tuesday just keeps getting stronger. We opened with the timeless voice of Barrington Levy before moving into a first hour filled with soul and R&B. Jessie Reyez, Roy Woods, Naomi Sharon, KELS and MALIA all brought records that leaned into melody and feeling, while noxz continued to make an impression with two appearances that helped connect the entire opening hour.

The ride stayed colorful through Ibrahim Maalouf and Jon Batiste, whose collaboration brought jazz textures and live instrumentation into the mix. Kokoroko delivered dance driven soul, Dzo 729, Seun1401 and Mitjo Sa stepped in with amapiano grooves, and Yazmin Lacey, Blxst and Sasha Keable kept the soulful energy flowing. The second hour turned sharply toward underground hip hop. Odeal eased listeners into the transition before Tone Spliff, Benny Slumz and Freddie Black started a run of records built around bars and strong production. Jamal Gasol, Supreme Cerebral and Raz Fresco kept the energy rooted in lyricism, while Bronze Nazareth and Kevlaar 7 added another layer of underground craftsmanship.

As the hour continued, Rick Ross, The Musalini, Nipsey Hussle and ANKHLEJOHN all delivered records that balanced introspection with confidence. Bijaan and Junia-T added another thoughtful moment before CK The Spitta, NASAAN and Fly Anakin helped close the ride. The final stretch proved once again that underground hip hop remains full of creative voices and powerful records waiting to be discovered.

This was another New Music Tuesday built around exploration. The first hour fed the soul, the second hour delivered the bars, and the entire ride reminded listeners why discovering new music remains one of the best parts of the journey.
