Freedom Thursday kicked off with pure energy as Daft Punk’s One More Time set the tone right out of the gate. From there we settled into soulful grooves with Jade, Babyface, Chaka Khan, Patchwork Inc. and Rhea the Second before hip hop naturally took the wheel.

The first hour balanced lyricism and feel through Lady London, Little Brother, Marlon Craft, Rapsody, Black Sheep and Ed O.G. before closing on a strong note. The second hour stayed deep in the hip hop pocket with Mach-Hommy, Freddie Gibbs, Pharoahe Monch, Apani B-Fly Emcee, Medhane, Denzel Curry, Phife Dawg and Coast Contra, proving once again that great bars never go out of style.

We slowed the ride down with soulful records from Elisa Imperilee, Miles Bonny and KELS, ending another Freedom Thursday with nothing but good energy and great music.
