Finally, this young soldier is getting back on her horse!

When the Jamaican first dropped, she called herself Koffee. The “Original” came later, but that sound that got our attention a couple years ago is still there. She’s already put out at least one other song this year, but “OVA So” is a banger.

It’s reggae with a bounce, and from a DJ perspective, I can already hear where it works. If I was spinning it, this would be a great record to transition a set from Reggae into Dancehall. It has enough of that reggae foundation, but the bounce starts pushing you toward something a little harder.

Listen for yourself below.

And this is exactly what New Music Tuesday is about for me. I’m constantly digging, listening, and finding records that deserve some attention. The music I discover here doesn’t just stay on the blog—it makes its way into The Ride with ChuckDiesal: New Music Tuesday, where I can actually put it in the mix and let people hear how it works alongside everything else that’s new.

Catch New Music Tuesday through the radio, website, Mixcloud, YouTube, and the rest of The Ride with ChuckDiesal platforms.
