Freedom Thursday opened with James Blake setting the mood early, bringing that emotional electronic soul energy before the show shifted into house through Crackazat and deeper soulful grooves from The Foreign Exchange and Reel People. That first stretch stayed smooth and layered, with R&B from Sevyn Streeter and hip hop soul textures from Frank Ocean and Wale keeping the energy connected.
As the first hour continued, the hip hop lane started taking shape through PawPaw Rod, Apollo Brown and Pete Rockbefore classic foundations from A Tribe Called Quest and newer energy from Doja Cat carried the transition fully into hip hop.
Second hour jumped out hard with Baby Keem setting the pace before the show locked deeper into bars and production. MOP, Das EFX, Slum Village and Little Brother all brought strong energy, balancing underground textures with classic hip hop flavor throughout the set.
The closeout shifted naturally into roots reggae, bringing in The Abyssinians, Cornel Campbell, Linval Thompson and Sizzla to close the ride with warmth and foundation. Both The Abyssinians and MOP got extra love throughout the show with both artists preparing to hit Prague that upcoming weekend. The whole ride moved naturally from house and soul into hip hop and roots reggae without losing the vibration.
