This episode of Africa Incorporated was rooted in feeling.

From the opening notes of René & Angela’s “I’ll Be Good,” the intention was clear — this was a heartfelt R&B ride. Songs about love, vulnerability, connection, and grown emotions carried the first half of the hour. Stokley and Janet Jackson brought smooth honesty, while Keyshia Cole added that raw, modern soul expression that continues the tradition.
Then the energy began to lift.
Kool & The Gang, The Gap Band, and Cameo injected funk and celebration into the mix. The grooves got thicker. The bass lines got bolder. It became the kind of love that moves you to the dancefloor.
Teddy Pendergrass and Atlantic Starr slowed things down just enough to let the romance breathe, while Earth, Wind & Fire reminded us how timeless musical chemistry truly sounds. Closing with Lakeside and Midnight Star kept the vibe elevated and shining.
Old school and new school were represented with balance and intention. This wasn’t nostalgia — it was continuity.
Can you feel the love?
