We kicked off New Music Tuesday with Dwson, Salvador & Unwnd’s “Nana,” putting some House energy underneath the show right from the start. ADÉLA and Daiela followed before Children of Zeus brought some Soul into the mix. Ethan French and Jae Stephens kept the first part of the show moving before Tinie Tempah & RAHH brought us back toward the House side.

From there the temperature kept rising. G Eazy came through, Yimeeka brought the Afro House, and then Original Koffee hit us with “OVA SO.” That joint is a BANGER! It was the perfect doorway into the Caribbean side of the show. Soundz brought the Afrobeats before Romain Virgo, Freddie McGregor, Kardinal Offishall & Glenn Lewis, Sizzla and Wayne Smith & Prince Jammy gave us a strong stretch of Reggae and Dancehall to finish the first hour.

Then Hieroglyphics came through the door to start hour two! Their new All Said And Done project got touched twice during the hour, and from there we stayed heavily in the Hip Hop bag. Nyota Parker, Blu & Sndtrak, DeevoDaGenius with Boldy James & Rome Streetz, Nino Man, Memphis Bleek, Raz Fresco, Norman Sann, Pac Div and 2 Chainz all added different flavors to the run.

But this is New Music Tuesday, so staying in one lane was never the plan. I slid right back into the Dancehall with Sizzla, Shenseea & DJ Frass and Shabba Ranks, then SymSimma gave us some Afro Pop before Shay Lia & KAYTRANADA switched the sound again with “SO GOOD.”

And just like we started, Dwson came back to finish the Ride, this time alongside SpheraQ with “Nothing Else Matters.”

House, Pop, R&B, Soul, Afro House, Afrobeats, Reggae, Dancehall, Hip Hop and Electronic. You never know what New Music Tuesday will present, hence why you should listen!
