New Music Tuesday came in with a strong statement, opening with pure jazz from Miho Hazama, setting a tone that felt rich and intentional from the start. That transition into soul was smooth and natural, with Ariel J, Morgan Janay and Chenayder building a warm pocket before the energy lifted with DESTIN CONRAD and Nia Smith adding a modern R&B layer that kept everything moving.

The first hour expanded outward without losing focus, bringing in Afrobeats through FOLA and then stepping into dancehall with Masicka, Capleton and Valiant. That section carried a strong rhythm before easing into reggae with Ziggy Marley, giving the close of the hour a grounded and soulful finish.

The second hour shifted gears and locked into hip hop, starting with Taylor Bennett bringing that Chicago presence right out the gate. From there the show leaned into a strong run of releases, with Method Man and Jay Worthy adding weight, while producers like DJ Premier and The Alchemist kept the sound sharp and consistent.

This is where the depth of New Music Tuesday really showed, highlighting artists like David Jame$, Grafh, Oddisee and Heno, along with Curren$y, Wiz Khalifa and Harry Fraud, all bringing their own flavor while staying connected to the overall flow. The show closed out with instrumentals from DJ Fresh and Seige Monstracity, letting the music breathe and ending the session on a focused, stripped back note that still carried energy.
